Oxyrase, Inc. makes plates for special applications or under contract for other companies.

We make a very, selective OxyPlate™ for isolating Bifidobacterium from human feces. This plate has an acidic pH and incorporates an Oxyrase® that has a acidic pH optimum different from the Oxyrase® used in other products.

We also make an OxyPRAS plate for Biolog, Inc. that uses their proprietary medium formulation. This OxyPRAS plate is used to isolate and grow anaerobes that are then charaterized by Biolog's phentoypic array system.

We can make blood agar plates, that keep all of their functional properties and have shelf life that go well over two years when kept refrigerated.  This feat is accomplished by the use of Oxyrase in the medium, by our manufacturing techniques, and by our unique packaging of plated media.
